Catbalogan City is taking a bold step towards digital transformation with the launch of the Catbalogan Citizen Portal!
Led by the Catbalogan City Information and Communication Technology Office under Exequiel Cabrigas III, the concept and UI were officially presented to Mayor Dexter Uy, City Administrator Atty. Dennis Cosmod, and department heads. This innovative platform aims to streamline government services, enable real-time data collection, promote transparency, boost the local economy, and advance Catbalogan as a Smart City.
During the meeting, City Mayor Dexter Uy and the department heads actively discussed ways to enhance the portal, ensuring accessibility for less tech-savvy residents, encouraging user participation, maintaining long-term sustainability, and strengthening data security. To promote adoption, the city will roll out a barangay caravan where residents can register, link their profiles, and receive their Catbalogan Citizen Card, unlocking the portal’s full benefits.
With this initiative, Catbalogan is paving the way for efficient, data-driven, and people-centered governance. By integrating technology-driven solutions, the city is making government services more accessible and engaging residents in decision-making. The Catbalogan Citizen Portal is more than just a digital platform—it’s a leap towards a smarter and more connected community!
