The City of Catbalogan Takes Major Steps Towards Sustainability with Solid Waste Management Complex Testing and Community Engagement

This morning, BCAO Head Atty. Duane Kendall Lim, together with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), visited the Catbalogan City Solid Waste Management Complex for the testing of its waste management machineries. The complex stands as a vital step in our commitment to sustainable waste solutions.

“To deepen the understanding of our barangay officials and community members on proper waste segregation, we are planning to schedule guided tours of the complex. This will help them to have a sense of ownership of this complex and show how small acts of proper waste management can create a lasting impact for future generations,” said Atty. Lim.

CENRO Head Mr. Edgardo M. Guya also highlighted that the establishment of the SWM Complex reflects the strong commitment of the City Government to responsible and sustainable environmental management.
